This is just a brief report on the Nikon 50mm 1.8 E Series, and its flare and ghost characteristics.
This picture should pretty much say it all.
Note also the thread and hair, left behind by the ‘lint-free’ glass-cleaning cloth. That’s what I get for trying to dry negatives with cloth… (I found a better method: more on that in a bit: stay tuned).
The little pancake style E Series 50 is really a top notch little lens, and I’m very pleased with it.
