Today, I’m thankful for family.
I should acknowledge this gratitude more often, and to them directly. Alhamdulillah! Hanabibti, Mom, Dad, Samie, aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws: you’re a blessing.Yesterday was my little nephew Daniyal’s third birthday! Happy (belated) Birthday, Daniyal!
We gathered at my brother-in-law’s place about 40 minutes before sunset. Daniyal was fast asleep, and so everyone could move around and set everything up without him being any the wiser. But like any good nephew of mine, he woke up for cake and presents.
That’s a good boy.
(With apologies to various family members for any goofy expressions I captured… Be thankful that I left the dinner portion out. The food was delicious, but I don’t think anyone wants to see pictures of themselves eating it.)
