All kinds of things happen throughout our lives, good things, bad things, mostly middle of the road, neither here nor there things. Though it all, and I’m reminding myself most of all, patience is key.
This, too, shall pass.
As Allah azza wa jall tells us in Surah Baqarah
And We will surely test you with something of fear and hunger and a loss of wealth and lives and fruits, but give good tidings to the patient,
Who, when disaster strikes them, say, “Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return.”
Those are the ones upon whom are blessings from their Lord and mercy. And it is those who are the guided.
Inna ilahi wa inna ilayhi rajioon… to God we belong, and to Him we will return. This, too, shall pass.
