Over and over again, Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala gives us the formula for success:
- believe
- do righteous deeds
Al Furqan, 70: Except for those who repent, believe and do righteous work. For them Allah will replace their evil deeds with good. And ever is Allah Forgiving and Merciful.
Al ‘Ankabut, 7: And those who believe and do righteous deeds – We will surely remove from them their misdeeds and will surely reward them according to the best of what they used to do.
Al ‘Ankabut, 9: And those who believe and do righteous deeds – We will surely admit them among the righteous [into Paradise].
Al Ma’idah, 93: There is not upon those who believe and do righteousness [any] blame concerning what they have eaten [in the past] if they [now] fear Allah and believe and do righteous deeds, and then fear Allah and believe, and then fear Allah and do good; and Allah loves the doers of good.
Muhammad, 2: And those who believe and do righteous deeds and believe in what has been sent down upon Muhammad – and it is the truth from their Lord – He will remove from them their misdeeds and amend their condition.
Sounds easy enough, right? Just believe, and do righteous deeds.
May Allah guide us to better, Ameen.
