A video from some Islamophobe out there features a boring, late-middle-aged white guy who drives through my neighborhood, wondering what we get up to… Well, my neighbors Sayed and Humera like to do a bit of gardening on the weekend, if that gives you an idea.
Nefarious.
Ramadan is expected to begin at sunset either today or tomorrow. For those of you who will be fasting, may Allah make it easy for you and accept it from you; for those of you driving through my neighborhood wondering what we’re up to, well, for the next 30 days or so, we’ll be eating and drinking only very late at night (after sunset) or very early in the morning (before first light), worshiping God as much as we can all the time, especially at night, and trying to get on with our lives in most other ways, while trying striving to worship more, avoid sins more, and try to earn Allah’s pleasure more than we normally do.
Again: Nefarious.
