Oh the expression on my darling, adorable wife’s face there… I wonder what she’s thinking?
As Allah azza wa jall tells us in Surah Al Anbya,
وَمَا خَلَقْنَا السَّمَاءَ وَالْأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا لَاعِبِينَ
And We did not create the heaven and earth and that between them in play.
لَوْ أَرَدْنَا أَن نَّتَّخِذَ لَهْوًا لَّاتَّخَذْنَاهُ مِن لَّدُنَّا إِن كُنَّا فَاعِلِينَ
Had We intended to take a diversion, We could have taken it from [what is] with Us – if [indeed] We were to do so.
I wonder if it’s something like that? And is she thinking that about the game of catch going on? Or the planewatching excursion we’re on? Or is it me photographing?
