Just a few simple iPhone shots from the family Photowalk around Fort Worth Botanical gardens. InshaAllah we have many more of these: it was fun for all!

I got this camera from my mom; she has no idea where it came from, and there is little to no information available about it on the internets, so I thought I’d shoot a roll through it and do up a bit of a review. Continue reading “the Pentax Espio AF Zoom”
With apologies to Samie (who I didn’t get a decent picture of), here are a couple of pictures of Hana, and one of Firas from yesterday’s trip to the Botanical Gardens. Continue reading “Hana and Firas at the Fort Worth Botanical Gardens”
Saturday the 4th (1/4/14… just stuck me…) found me at the Forth Worth Botanical Gardens with Hana, Samie & Firas.
In tow, was the D7000 and Zomb-E, the LX7, the iPhone, and the LC-A* (pictures from first two to follow in the coming days, Insha Allah; shots from the LC-A when I finish the roll and get it developed).
It was a beautiful day for a walk in the gardens, which I hadn’t visited for many many years: mid 60s, slight breeze; cool shade, warm sun. We walked pretty much the whole garden, but everything worth sharing from the Zomb-E-fied D7000 came from the Japanese gardens.
D7000. Nikon 75-150mm f/3.5 Zomb-E Series. EXIF in the Lightbox. Minimal processing (mostly) in Lightroom 5.
And with this post, I say farewell to the 7/52 project. All in all, it has been a fun and useful project, though there are a few things that didn’t quite go the way I hoped. For example, I only rarely picked a project and diligently worked on it for a whole week. But Allah Azza wa Jall knows best, and He gave me so much this year that kept me happily distracted from mere photography, so I’ll say Alhamdulillah! The 7/52 is complete. Now on to the projects for 2014: Macro Monday, Black & Wednesday, and Phoneography Friday, InshaAllah.
*It’s only now that I realize I haven’t introduced the new toy, bought late in 2013: the Lomo LC-A (Refurbished). That’ll happen next Sunday, Insha Allah.
