A reminder to myself, first… Aisha, RadhiAllahu ‘anha said زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ “ الرَّحِمُ شِجْنَةٌ، فَمَنْ وَصَلَهَا وَصَلْتُهُ، وَمَنْ قَطَعَهَا قَطَعْتُهُ ” The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “The word ‘Ar-Rahm’ (womb) derives its name from ‘Ar- Rahman’ (i.e. Allah). Rohingya Solidarity Rally
As reported by Nu’man bin Bashir, the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said The believers in their mutual kindness, compassion and sympathy are just like one body. When one of the limbs suffers, the whole body responds to it with wakefulness and fever. مثل المؤمنين في توادهم وتراحمهم وتعاطفهم، مثل الجسد إذا اشتكى …

Diversity
Today, I’m thankful for Diversity: biodiversity, cultural diversity, diversity of genotypes and phenotypes, diversity of landscapes, foodstuffs, all of the variety in this world. Alhamdulillah! Allah tells us some things about diversity in the Quran, and it’s worth reflecting on and marveling at His magnificence and benevolence in creating all this diversity.
“Creeping Sharia”
Today, I’m thankful for “creeping sharia,” the slow, clandestine spread of Islam throughout this great country. I know that may be frightening to some, but don’t worry: despite it’s spread, Islam and Muslims still form only a tiny fraction of American society (3% or less) and so-called “sharia law” of the type practiced in some …
