Come to find out, the Graflex Optar 135mm f/4.7 has the same 37mm filter thread as the LensBaby Muse… I rearranged my office last week and came across the +3 and +10 filters that I’ve rarely, if ever used, looked at them, noticed the similar size, and decided something had to be done.
A couple of months ago, I loaded up a bunch of film: 3 holders full of HP5+ and 2 of FP4+. I shot one holder of HP5 maybe a month ago, but they were horribly mis-focused and not correctly exposed. The rest have been sitting, wrapped in zip lock bags, not refrigerated, just waiting, waiting.
This is actually the first 4×5 snapshot I snapped, the piece of film I burned that day, but it wasn’t the first time I’ve made this same mistake… So a reminder to me first, again, again, again: when you are itching to shoot and the handiest thing around is a 4×5 holder that someone else loaded probably …
